Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of mobile banking system adoption on the cost of transactions at Kenya commercial bank, Eldoret west branch. A descriptive research design was used and a target population of 250 was selected. Stratified and purposive sampling was used to come up with a sample of 75. Questionnaires were used as instruments of data collection. Data was analyzed quantitatively by use of frequency tables, percentages and charts. From the findings it was evident that 20% of the respondents said that Mobile banking is cheaper, 70% said that mobile banking transaction cost be reduced and10% said mobile banking cost is reasonable. From the findings it can be deduced that there is need to reduce the cost of mobile banking.
